Experts believe it will require about $100,000 to get the ride back in factory condition. ![]() Success with the ‘Chicken Coupe’ sale prompted owner of this GT to auction it through Grays, too. What truly makes this scenario wild is if the winning bidder wants to fully restore the car, they’re looking at spending even more cash. The appetite for classic Aussie muscle cars shows no sign of abating, with a 1973 Ford XA Falcon GT RPO 83 hardtop selling at auction for 276,009 after a similar model went for just over 300,000 last year. To say the final amount well exceeded expectations is obvious. Industry experts had estimated this Ford would easily auction for over $150,000 while estimated it might hit $200,000. The winning bidder has remained anonymous but is from South Australia. That practice follows the auction site’s rules that rival bidders have up to 10 minutes to respond to a new offer, so each of those individuals put in their final bids before one pushed it beyond the comfort level of the other three. One time I was on a plane, and before I took off I’d tweeted Anthony pictures from restaurants that he’d also gone to. Andy Milonakis’ tattoo of Anthony Bourdain. Getting to follow in his footsteps and go to some of the same restaurants he’d been to in different places around the world was really cool. The first episode of No Reservations was about Paris, and I didn’t go to Paris for probably eight years after that episode aired, but I still wanted to go to the places he visited. That’s why everybody loved that show – because they wanted to be there with him in those destinations. It was so appealing because Anthony Bourdain was not your typical cheesy travel host, he was a wise guy, New Yorker ex-junkie who was really poetic. I started watching No Reservations right from when it first aired in 2005. It’s a great way to go through life, getting to experience the world a bit instead of just staying home. ![]() I’ve been to a lot of different countries and while I’m out there exploring, I feel like I’m learning. There’s something so amazing about getting on a plane and going halfway around the world to somewhere different to experience different things. ![]() I love to travel the world, and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations was the show that inspired me to really get out there and learn a lot about different cultures, different places. I put effort into making my songs sound great and writing some good rhyme schemes, but also make sure to include the most ridiculous references I can come up with. Music can have real legs, even on an amateur level. If I do a livestream, or a comedy bit, on the other hand, probably not a lot of people will be thinking about it in the future. Not every song I put out is going to be well received or get a lot of listens, but the staying power of music is crazy because I can spend two or three hours making a song or a little rap verse and then some people will still be mentioning it more than a decade later. I’m loosely inspired by my love of New York rappers, but I inject my own sense of humor into the lyrics. I did that for a while, but when I moved to Los Angeles and I went to a couple of studios, I discovered how fun it is to write a song and record it, and learned the process of making hooks, layering vocals and all that stuff. ![]() Initially, I never thought about rapping myself (besides reciting the songs I was listening to), but then I started making videos of myself acting stupid and I thought trying to freestyle badly would be funny. ![]() I had a boombox and I listened to old-school rappers. Three Great Things is Talkhouse’s series in which artists tell us about three things they absolutely love. ![]() This was also the fate of Waterfox, a Firefox-based browser built by Alex Kontos, a 16-year-old student (at the time, in 2011). However, from time to time, browsers that offer something new or unique usually make it into the spotlight. While the difference might be imperceptibly small between all benchmarked browsers, it is still very much Light’s victory.Considering just how saturated the browser market is nowadays, it's almost impossible for a newcomer to penetrate what seems to be an insurmountable wall of tools financed by big tech companies. Rather than giving great results tailored to only one system architecture, Light seems capable of delivering to both. While Waterfox might also have done the same thing, the fact Light is available for 32-bit and 64-bit computers is even more exciting, for it suggests that the same results are possible regardless of operating system. By paring back unnecessary features, those responsible for the build have been able to create something faster than Mozilla’s own browser. The browser is exactly what it strives to be: light. Light must surely be singled out for how well it works. With that in mind, it remains an impressive feat that the team behind the Waterfox project managed to outpace the company responsible for developing the core code they are working from. It can be tempting to become overly concerned with the state of benchmarking, but in reality it has very little difference on overall browser performance. However, the difference between the two is so incredibly small (quite literally milliseconds) that in everyday usage the two handle in much the same manner. We found Waterfox to be a very usable browser, and it achieved slightly better scores in benchmarking than Mozilla’s Nightly browser did. Curiously, it cannot run at the same time as the normal Firefox browser, prompting a “Waterfox is already running error” while none of the other listed browsers have the same issue. With regard to appearance, it uses its own icon and the latest UI, codenamed Australis. ![]() Whether it is or isn’t, the download is 44MB, which is a bit more than even Mozilla’s own version of the browser (generally in the mid-thirties). Waterfox believes itself to be the fastest 64-bit browser of all – a lofty claim for a browser that isn’t, after all, produced by a major company. Nevertheless, it works, and whether placebo or not it does feel ever-so-slightly snappier. Light retains the Australis theme of the latest versions of Firefox, as well as the original icon, meaning that the change is mostly subtle between Light and the original Firefox web browser. Explanation on the official project page is more technical than many users may want, but it should prove enlightening for those with the knowledge to appreciate the developer’s efforts beyond the software’s functionality. LightĪnother project found on Sourceforge, Light’s main goal is to lighten the Firefox web browser in any way it can. While it won’t be to everyone’s taste, the more conservative approach to browser design can be interpreted as reflective of a desire among some users to abandon the controversial changes Mozilla made. Pale Moon could be described as “traditional,” given that it uses the older Strata theme which appeared in Firefox 4 and in a layout more reminiscent of Firefox 2 and 3 builds. Those who use these features will no doubt feel the loss in Pale Moon, though for the average consumer, it may come as a surprise that such a feature even existed. Therefore, Pale Moon does not include such features as Sync, and some technical components are absent. The aim behind the Pale Moon project is to cut back what the developer sees as bloat. ![]() Pale Moon is one of the most well-known variants using the familiar Firefox platform. With both downsides already mentioned, it could be tempting to ponder why anyone would use the Nightly browser – in truth, there is an element of excitement to being on the cutting edge, whether due to changes the general public will not see for months or due to the potential for new and enticing features. Unlike Chrome, updating is not performed as a background operation, meaning that the browser has to be restarted for each and every update. The Nightly builds of Firefox also have another downside in their daily updates. However, being on the cutting edge does not make it totally perfect, given that there may be bugs and issues that manifest themselves in newer, untested code. Nightly‘s version number is significantly higher than the mainstream browser release, and it is generally seen as the cutting-edge browser. Mozilla’s own testing version, released to the public on a daily basis as code, is revised and tweaks are made. ![]() This is a themed command prompt profile, it's a good place to start as it uses a scheme readily available to copy from GitHub called Firewatch. The colonial administration often viewed the indigenous practice of tattooing as 'primitive' and 'savage'. The period of British rule in India (1858-1947) brought significant changes in the perception of tattoos. Some also used tattoos as talismans for protection against evil spirits. Various tribal and rural communities across the country used tattoos, or 'Godna', as markers of identity, social status, or beauty. In medieval India, tattoos became more evident in the cultural milieu. Some scholars infer that these markings could have been the precursors to more elaborate tattoo designs seen in later periods. In Vedic texts, there are few direct references to tattoos, but numerous mentions of body markings suggest their existence. Though direct evidence of tattoos is scarce due to the lack of preserved human skin, the figurines and seals unearthed depict figures with elaborate body art, hinting at the possible use of tattooing during this period. The Indus Valley Civilization (3300–1300 BCE), known for its advanced urban planning and intricate art, also provides evidence of body modification practices. Rock paintings discovered in central India, some over 10,000 years old, depict figures adorned with what appears to be body art or tattoos, indicating that this practice has deep roots in the subcontinent's history.
